Structuring development to better meet the business needs of statutory auditors

Since taking on the role of Project Manager at Audityx, Florent Versyp has been tasked with overseeing the software’s evolution with a clear objective: optimizing the software to make it more streamlined, faster, and even better suited to the needs of audit firms.

He shares his vision of the role, the market, and the priorities ahead.

“What motivated me was, above all, the trust placed in me, but also the desire to structure our way of working more effectively,” he explains. Already involved in the software’s development prior to his appointment, Florent is well aware of the industry’s challenges. As Project Manager, he now coordinates prioritization, feature scoping, internal discussions, and product validation phases for Audityx.

Project management is carried out in close collaboration with the entire team. “Every piece of feedback matters, it helps us prioritize better and stay aligned with the real needs of auditors.”

A software designed to ease the operational burden of statutory auditors

The short-term roadmap is clear: the immediate goal is to stabilize the current features, improve usability, and enhance the billing module with time-based billing capabilities, a much-requested feature by firms.

However, the real challenge lies ahead: developing the audit module. “This is a major project. It’s the core of our business. This module must be fully operational from day one because auditors cannot afford any hiccups during audit season.”

Highly anticipated in both France and Belgium, this module will mark a new milestone in Audityx’s functional coverage, moving toward a truly all-in-one industry solution.

Responsive and appreciated customer support

Customer support quality is also one of the key strengths frequently highlighted by firms.

“We strive to respond to every request quickly, often within the same day, rarely beyond 48 to 72 hours, and to provide a solution, even when the issue requires additional research,” Florent notes.

Every suggestion is reviewed, even when it challenges existing features. This pragmatic approach contributes to the daily satisfaction of auditors.

Better understanding practices to develop better tools

Another key priority is the ongoing understanding of the profession.
